Chapter 96 : 3/5 at Antipodeon , Bangsar

I've been such a foodie lately , I'm almost sure I'm getting fatter each second .

My friends & I talk about trying different restaurants every time we plan to meet up for lunch & this time , it has brought us to one of KL's most famous food-hub , Bangsar .

Since the boys couldn't make it , it was just us girls on a girls day out .

We walked around the shoplots that were located right outside Bangsar Village & spotted this cool cafe called Antipodeon .

I loved the whole black on black concept really . Typical Vanessa , I know .

As we approached the cafe , all the waiters & waitresses were smiling at us , just ready to welcome us into their cafe .

The service there is top notch as they really pay attention to the customers , even the owners were there to check up on you & the food .

The unique thing about this cafe is that their menu isn't on paper but on the walls instead ! It may come as troublesome to those sitting outside , they had to peek through the windows to look at the walls for menu items .

The menu items were neatly organized & also beautifully written clearly for everyone to have a look at . Everything on their menu was very affordable & sounded super tasty .

Their menu consisted of breakfast plates , pastas , salads & waffles . Yummy !

The breakfast section isn't just for breakfast but is available all day , errday for us breakfast plate fans .

The setting of the cafe was dim & cozy but it felt a little cramp because of the tables were sort of placed near one another . It was a little hot due to the amount of people at the time .

After ordering , I only had to wait for about 10 minutes or so for my food to arrive , it was pretty quick considering the amount of people that were there .

I ordered the Big Breakfast because I'm one of those people who fancy breakfast plates & breakfast in general but never wake up before 11am :P

Usually most places that I have been to for their breakfast plates have pretty much the same thing which is the hash brown , mushrooms , sausage , scrambled eggs & a piece of whole grain bread . BUT what differentiated this one with the others is that the hash brown was baked & pan-fried instead of deep fried , the mushrooms were juicy & flavorful , scrambled eggs were creamy & rich in flavor & the sausage as well was juicy & very tasty .

Thigz & Nadhine ordered the same thing which was the Mushroom Spinach Carbonara .

I had a taste of this bowl of tasty carbonara . The pasta was of shell shaped ones , spinach , mushrooms & also chunks of feta cheese . The carbonara sauce was creamy but not too overwhelming . By the looks of it , it looked as if the portion was too small but it was super filling , even Thigz who is a big eater couldn't finish it .

The three of us decided to order another dish , just to satisfy our sweet-tooth . We ordered the French Toast with Caramelized Bananas & Bacon . A combination with both sweet & savory was a little odd but it felt like total heaven once it went in our mouths . The caramelized bananas would just melt in your mouth & the saltiness of the bacon balanced out the sweetness of the bananas . Perfect combo .

Doesn't that look incredibly yummy ? I miss this already T__T

All in all , I give Antipodeon two big thumbs UP for everything from the service to the food . Everything was definitely on point except for the humidity , which wasn't THAT bad but was bearable since we were all so focused on how good the food was .

The three of us will definitely head back there again soon even though its just for the french toast .
