Chapter 46 : What to wear to college ?

Hello ! So everyone has been asking me on Ask.fm , what should they wear to college & what kind of bag they should use .

This matter is rather common cause we no longer have uniforms so everyday we have to decide what to wear & decide whether its suitable or not . As for me , yes , I do think about what to wear to college usually before bed , early in the morning or you know , in the shower . Hehe . 

Its pretty much depends on a few factors like the weather , society , & overall enviroment .

As I've said in my previous posts , its been rather hard for me to pick out outfits for college due to the enviroment here that's super different from where I'm from , KL . In KL , its all about fashion & keeping up to date but its pretty much passion for fashion . 

But HERE in Kampar , Perak , everyone's just looking for comfort . Yes , just basic comfy pants & a T-shirt . Its really humid pretty much 90% of the time & we have to walk a lot . Here its not like Taylor's Lakeside or Sunway University where you HAVE to use a car to get to school and such . See the difference ? 

I've been wearing statement tees & printed tees with black leggings & honestly its been dead boring . So I decided recently to turn it up a notch by wearing my statement tees with bold striped jeans or a bright colored maxi skirt .

(Btw , I seriously got odd stares from people & I could practically read their mind cause their faces were like "What is this girl wearing ? Is she mad ?" & especially when I wore the maxi skirt cause y'know Chinese people usually settle for shorts & mini skirts so yeah) 

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO & SHOULD NOT DO ? :

- Wear something that YOU like . Don't be wearin' stuff that you don't like but you think will get people's attention . There's no harm in that but don't you think its a waste if you don't even like what you're wearing ? & how are people supposed to like it if you obviously don't . 

- Wear something that's comfy . Why ? Cause you'll be walking all over the campus all day to get to your classes . You wouldn't want to be climbing stairs & walking a whole lot in uncomfortable clothes right ? Thought so .

- I said comfy , not boring . comfy doesn't mean you can't be fashionable on campus . Like me , wear something with bold prints & color ! Just because there are prints & colors doesn't mean it'll be uncomfortable . Pick out the ones that have nice , stretchy & comfy material that allows you to move about easily & stay comfortable . 

- Don't go overboard . Its COLLEGE , not New York Fashion Week . Keep it simple . 

- Flats are the best choice , not heels . I think we all know why , RIGHT ?

As for bags , please PLEASE do not carry around PU Leather oversized handbags cause both you & I know they can't withstand the weight of our stuff & will only last about 4 months tops . 

Use a proper bag . If you don't like backpacks , find a oversized CANVAS tote bag . It will definitely last a long time to come . I'm currently using a Beatles Canvas Tote Bag ;)
