Has anyone had problems with oily foundations before ? I've been struggling for the past few years tryna find the perfect foundation that has amazing coverage , consistency & just for it to not make my skin more oily than it already is .
I've tried various brands & still have yet to find a good foundation that I'd truly enjoy using .
I have honestly gone in & out of pharmacies , SASA , Etude House & other beauty stores , just standing at the foundation counters , & testing out all their foundations . Trust me , I've always had the tendency to just stand there & try everything till my friends have to literally drag me out .
Its pretty hilarious .
I've always rushed to the Maybelline shelf in pharmacies , kinda odd . But I find their range pretty swell . Though the other day I was just really determined to find a foundation from Maybelline , praying that they'd have one that would suit my skin type better than the ones I've used previously .
Then I came across their Dream Liquid Mousse foundation .
*yesssssssss*
I'm not too sure if this is new , I don't think so .
These foundations came in light shades that were very similiar which made it so hard to find one shade that was perfect for my skin T__T #lifeproblems
I tested it on my hand & I immediately fell in love with the silky feel & finish it had . Partially mind-blown . So I rushed to the counter after figuring out what shade I suited best . Yay !
Because I had prom that night , I had the chance to have a full-on test run .
Applying it was easy , at first it was all liquid-ish & sticky but after blending it in , it started to dry & produce a beautiful finish . Though I'm not TOO sure if its finish is matte because the bottle says it has an airbrush finish but it feels like matte to me hahahahaha okay .
The foundation surprisingly doesn't take very long to dry up to a matte finish , which makes everything so much more faster .
I think the faster it dries the better though , because sometimes I'm in a rush but still want to put my face on so its pretty convenient .
This Dream Liquid Mousse by Maybelline does a great job at covering up your problematic areas even if you don't apply a thick amount . Though if you have really bad red spots & want to cover it up , do use a concealer first . It does do a better coverage if you're having a bad skin day .
What I really love about this foundation is that its not as oily as other foundations . Even if I've worn it for several hours , my face doesn't have that super disgusting oily shine & etc like before . The oily skin is still there , but very minimal which I'm very happy about of course ! *victory dance*
As for its pricing , its not THAT pricey really compared to other brands . Plus when you think of it , its pretty cheap for a well-sized bottle of foundation .
RM34.15 *on discount at Guardian*
This one would last me about 2 months at least if I don't exactly use it everyday but I'm very tempted to *evil laugh*
Overall , I'm very satisfied with my new purchase & will continue to use it until I find something that will take all the shine away ~ ((which I do know is almost impossible to find but a girl can hope))
Have you ever used Maybelline's Dream Liquid Mousse or tried it at a pharmacy ? Let me know what you think !
& if you haven't tried or bought it , I suggest you do ! GET IT ! GET IT ! & we all shall be flawless together ~
*sorry I didn't upload any photos of the foundation being swatched . I just couldn't get a good photo that would do this foundation justice *cries*
Till then ,
V
*btw did you know its better to use a brush rather than a sponge when applying foundation ? Its because the sponge absorbs most of the foundation so you're kinda wasting it lol
