Chapter 8 : Prom Season !

Its almost the end of the year ! And you know what that means : PROM . Its what every teenager has been waiting their whole high school lives for . As for the girls , how many times have you looked through prom dresses , indecisive of which one to wear to prom ? Remember everyone , high school proms are the most important ones in your life . A celebration of you completing your school years . You will look back at your prom photos when you're in your fifties . So you definitely don't wanna screw it up .

So today , I will guide you on what type of dresses are this years in-trends and how to wear them . I know most of us girls want to have a night just like Cinderella and have a dress like hers with glass slippers . Feel like a princess for one night . Well you can , WITHOUT wearing a dress that is super poofy or ridiculously dramatic . Take note that , "Less is more" . Lets get started ! 

SEQUINS :

This trend has been around forever and never seems to get old . I love this bustier baby doll dress . Its young , fun and just super pretty yet simple . This type of dress is brilliant because its suitable for all body types . Short , tall , curvy , straight , pear , apple and etc . 

HOW TO WEAR SEQUINS :

How ? I suggest you wear basic colored shoes . Like black and nude . White shoes are just... Cheap . I had to say it . When your dress is already all blinged up , wear less make up , less accessories . Maybe just one bracelet or bangle and a black clutch . Your dress is already the main accessory . So let your dress do the talking . 

LITTLE BLACK DRESS 

The all time favorite that NEVER EVER seems to get old . Elegant , sexy and just stunning . Black dresses are so pretty and ridiculously effortless . This dress is best on girls who are tall or medium height . Just make sure if you're a petite , wear heels so that you won't look too short .

HOW TO WEAR THE LBD ? 

You don't have to accessorize as much really . Just some simple diamond dangling earrings , a gold/silver clutch . Heels ? Maybe red if you can pull off red lipstick . If not ? Back to basics . Here's another type of LBD that has a sequined bustier :

COLOR BLOCKING 

Color block dresses are brilliant . Vibrant colors that just grabs everyones attention . But , not everyone ca wear this type of dress . Sorry to say , but color block dresses are best on fair-skinned people . Its terribly difficult to pull of a vibrant colored dress . 

HOW TO WEAR ?

Same exact things I've said before . Tone-down on your accessories and make up . 

Tips on picking out a dress :

1. Make sure you bring a pair of heels along to estimate your height during the night 

2. Pick something out that compliments your body and doesn't add on a few pounds in photos 

3. Don't pick out something that's just not comfortable . You wanna have fun during prom night , not torture yourself 

4. Don't be afraid to try on ALL the dresses ! You need to make sure of what you like and what you are willing to spend your money on
