Chapter 10 : Prom Season ! (Part 3)

Okay , today I'll be talking about what color would go best with what skin tone . Its really important that you get a dress that will compliment your skin tone so that it doesn't look weird or whatever . Its probably best if you just try on every color to see what looks best on you . Here's a look at the color scheme for prom dresses : 

MAGENTA/PINK/BABY PINK : 

Honestly , I'm no big fan of pink when it comes to dresses . I think its rather tacky . But only certain people can pull off this color . The only pink that would look nice on a prom dress is pastel pink/baby pink . This color would suit people who are fair skinned .

MAROON/RED :

This is one of the most elegant colors I know . Without fail , at every event you would see some wearing beautiful red dresses . Problem is , its so mainstream . Its lost its WOW factor . Unless its on a terribly tall girl . But its best on dark not caramel and fair skinned people .

WHITE :

White is a very traditional color . I think it should just be worn for wedding cause the color is so innocent and pure . Plus , you DO NOT wanna get it all dirty on prom night . A ballroom filled with teens ? Yeah I don't think so . This color definitely suits everyone . Definitely .

YELLOW :

NO . JUST . NO .

ELECTRIC BLUE/BABY BLUE/DARK BLUE :

Have you seen Lana Del Rey at the recent EMA's ? Her midnight dress was absolutely gorgeous . She didn't even need any add ons ! Anyway , this color is definitely a very good color . If you're fair , any type of blue would do . But if you're caramel or chocolate , you should go for dark blue or midnight blue . Don't do electric .

PURPLE/LILAC/LAVENDER :

Okay this color is definitely my favorite . Compatible with any type of skin tone . Very pretty . Nuff' said .

BLACK :

Same as white , purple and red , its perfect for any type of skin tone . Really . Black is a very elegant color and very sexy as well . Definitely a long-time favorite .

These colors are the main colors you'd see on the girls at prom . Just pray you don't end up buying the same identical dress as someone else at the prom . Good Lord I wouldn't want to be you . Good luck finding your perfect dress !
